100 Years of Light

Ms. Lapos was chosen to be one of 15 Lighthouse Artists for the City of Mukilteo, WA’s “100 Years of Light” project commemorating their lighthouse’s 100th year. Ms. Lapos’ lighthouse can be viewed from Memorial Day to Labor Day, 2006 on Mukilteo Speedway Drive near the post office.
Lighthouse, entitled “Fishie, Fishie” is 7’ tall and weighs over 275 pounds! The structure itself is a replica of Mukilteo’s famed lighthouse.

The Mukilteo Beacon newspaper provides a map to the artist’s lighthouse in its May 31st edition on page 20.

Ms. Lapos is an award-winning artist. Her art work has been shown in art galleries and museums in Texas, Alaska, California and Washington. Her work is owned by collectors all over the US, Great Britain, British Columbia and Germany and is owned by noted celebrities in the US. Ms. Lapos' work includes paintings, murals, mosaics, vintage lamp embellishments, handmade purses, assemblage and sculptural pieces.

She was commissioned to do a public mural in Gilda's Club Seattle of Gilda Radner and has completed many custom murals in private residences. She is also a published author/illustrator with her children's book, A ROYAL BUGGY GARDEN. Ms. Lapos is available for private art commissions, including murals and can be reached through this website address. Ms. Lapos can also create custom family paintings using the client's photos.

Ms. Lapos is also a breast cancer survivor. In the two weeks between her breast cancer diagnosis and bilateral mastectomies (both breasts removed), Ms. Lapos painted with her nipples. 27 original acrylic "nipple" paintings were began during those two weeks and have since been completed. Some are for sale on this website, along with an art print taken from one of the original paintings.

Surrounded by lush forest and kept company by a wonderful husband, 2 border collies and a girl cat named Bob, Ms. Lapos works out of her studio in Edmonds, Washington.
